Sylvia Critcher Saturday Workshop - by Ann S

Eleven ladies attended theSylvia Critcher "Quick Triangle Quilt Day" on Saturday 19th March.  Sylvia showed us how to work out triangles of all sizes to use as templates and how to assemble them in different ways.

I had originally decided not to attend this workshop but changed my mind at the last minute and how glad am I that I did.  Sylvia is a very competent and friendly teacher with a laid back style and full of useful information.  At these workshops I usually pick up a useful tip and Sylvia's was no different.  She showed me how to use my rotary cutter more efficiently with better results.

Most of the ladies made cushion tops or bag panels but I decided to make a quilt.  Obviously my quilt was not made in the day but is an ongoing project towards an entry into our Exhibition later in the year.  I enjoyed my day as I think the others did and look forward to another of Sylvia's workshops, perhaps when her new book is published.
