Dulwich Quilters' Exhibition - by Margaret

I visited Dulwich Quilters 30 year anniversary exhibition on Saturday 5th November. It was at the usual venue of Dulwich College Old Library which is very nice, if a little cramped.

There was a wide selection of types of quilts ranging from the traditional to modern and experimental. As this is their 30th year some of the quilts had been shown before which really showed how our tastes have changed over the years.

The group had made a small hanging of cream fabrics with pearl themed decorations and the raffle quilt was very eye catching. One which I was impressed by was Star quilt by Brenda Ferns which was a large one in the style of Virginia star. The precision was exceptional.

The usual sales tables plus tea and cakes made for a pleasant afternoon on a cold day.
