Organiser Bag Workshop with Jan  - by Pat

We all arrived on this bright and sunny morning full of expectations, the different array of fabrics were stunning , pastels, brights and bold, prints, elephants, flowers, batiks, etc., etc.

We had all been very good and pre-cut the fabric list previously given, so straight to work.  Julia had a disaster darling moment when her machine decided to go out of alignment and refused to work, Helen Tagg to the rescue, her machine was now working for two.

I had purchased my iron on vilene the previous week so had Gaye (the same place) fortunately for me Gaye had had the foresight to actually look at hers, I had not and realised, on the day, that in fact was not iron on, Gaye to my rescue, she had enough for two .

The morning flew past and by lunch we had most of the panels sewn and quilted.  Mishaps and lunch over we settled back and got on with the afternoon. There was a lovely atmosphere and feeling of camaraderie throughout the day.  Jan was busy going around showing us all what to do at each stage.  4 pm arrived with a shock to us all , where had the day gone !!

All the bags had been completed to a good stage and with Jan's expertise and instructions we can all finish the last of the stages at home.

Look out for Show and Tell evenings and the November show to view all these magnificently varied versions of the Organiser Bag.
