On a busy
evening, we started with the A G M and the committee members gave their
annual reports. Our successful exhibition last year covered increased
costs and we were also able to make a charity donation. Our thanks must
go to our committee for the hard work which they put
Five charities were nominated for election and the clear winner was
Mission Care which supports dementia sufferers and their families. This
will be our charity for two years alongside Linus.
The months main notices were as follows....
The membership renewal deadline passed at the end of the meeting.
A committee member should be notified if you are unable to attend a meeting.
The June workshop is fully booked.
The September workshop will be £10.00
A coach trip to the N E C is being considered for 2016.
A refreshment break then followed with a chance to purchase from the ingredients table.
Alison Thistlewood who is the sales rep for Canadian products Soak and
Flatter spoke next. Briefly, Soak is a gentle washing detergent and
Flatter is a spray to use before ironing.
We finished with some lovely show and tell quilts.
