Saturday morning dawned dismal and damp but determined to go out for the day, after a dreadful week, I set off with umbrealla up and winter boots on for Hampton Court. The train was packed with ladies all chattering away. Deciding to let them all fight it out, I watched as they headed over the bridge for the 'Handmade Fair' wilst I went around the corner to a lovely café for a coffee. Creative Quilting was opposite, so after a quick visit to make a few purchases, I ventured off to the Fair on the green opposite Hampton Court.

I had only purchased an entry only ticket, so I made my way around the exhibitor tents first, followed by a look around the food sellers and craft make areas. You can sign up to many different workshops and have a really enjoyable time. There is also a super theatre where Kirsty Allsopp talks to many famous designers and creators. Of course to do all the extra activities you need to pay extra for special tickets (book in advance). I managed to glimpse a busy ‘Kirsty’ in the ‘DMC’ tent she looked shorter and slimmer than on the television. After a coffee and a re-visit to the exhibitors to buy some goodies from ‘Mandy Shaw’ I made my way back home via Kingston to buy a new cutting mat in John Lewis after cutting right through mine earlier in the week. 

An enjoyable day out with a mixed range of crafts, designer and handmade products, vintage items, yummy food to buy to take home (the cake stall had cake that looked about 9" tall!), plenty of sign up to make items and interesting talks.
