2016 Malvern Quilts
Malvern show, Quilt Association and Doughty's Warehouse - by Jill
I visited Malvern on the first day, which was very busy and hot. I agree with Janet's report, there were many traditional quilts to enjoy. I visited Maggie Davies to see her work prior to her visit to us in September.
During our short holiday I also visited the Quilt Association at the Minerva Arts centre in Llanidloes, Wales. There was the Artisans Emporium and an exhibition of Art Textiles of Great Britain. This group will show their new work at the Festival of Quilts in August.
On our way home we stopped at Doughtys new warehouse just outside Hereford. It is near the station and has a car park. A feast of fabric!
David had photo opportunities at Gigrin farm in Wales for red kites and at Batsford Falconry. We were both happy!
