Arrangements had been made for members to bring their quilts for display at the forthcoming Exhibition on 6th October and judging by the amount that were brought in, we should have a very good showing.
The rest of the time was free and we had been advised to bring in some sewing or other activity to occupy ourselves. I have said many times how much talent there is within the club and this was very evident. Embroidery, knitting, hand sewing, hexagon quilting, etc. This is relaxing and also gives us the chance to have a chat, which is not always possible on a normal meeting evening
