2024 April Meeting

April Meeting - by Jane M

The evening was chilly and damp, but there was an extremely good turnout of members, with two new recruits to celebrate.

Deirdre read out the latest announcements from Kate’s events roundup, with events from Faversham to Willesden this month.

We launched into an enthusiastic meeting where members shared their ideas and showed examples of makes for the tombola at our Exhibition in September.

There were too many makes to mention them all, dynamic bags of all shapes and sizes, a favourite was a bag made from a broken umbrella. Tissue boxes, pincushions, coasters, beanbags, book-marks, bowls, bottle covers and many more. Certainly, we were given plenty of inspiration!

The meeting closed with discussions among the members of their ideas of what to make to practice their skills. I’m looking forward to the Exhibition to see the amazing items we create for the tombola. Good luck everyone.
