Christmas Make Evening - by Jackie B
Dierdre began the meeting by thanking everyone for contributing to the success of our recent exhibition. All the feedback from those who had attended was extremely positive, and guests were amazed by the number and variety of quilts exhibited. Financially the exhibition had also covered the costs incurred.
We had four new members join on the evening and they were welcomed into the group. We also had a visit from someone who was considering joining. At the end of the evening, he expressed how much he had enjoyed the meeting especially his chats with likeminded quilters.
The main event of the evening was the making of a Christmas decoration. The evening was led by Kate who had painstakingly provided everyone with an envelope with the appropriate templates needed. She moved around the tables giving instructions and advice. The decoration was a handstitched activity and everyone beavered away to complete the task . I am sure that many of us will be making more decorations at home.
Thankyou Kate.
