Christmas Meeting - by Debbie
Well, the Christmas social meeting has come around again. and I for one have been looking forward to it
As usual, the committee have excelled themselves and provided a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The evening kicked off by deciding our position on a jellybean tree. Thinking about the challenges for the New Year most of us felt we would be top of the tree at the start and probably laying at the bottom exhausted by the end!
In teams we then played Boggle. We were given 10 minutes to come up with as many words as we could. The winner had 159 - go that team! Sadly no prizes on my table!
The Christmas picture quiz caused all sorts of laughter as we tried to find the answers by whatever means! It turns out that guessing and earwigging go a long way.
The ‘what’s in the bag’ game caused hilarity with lots of fumbling under the table and some of the items could not be identified when removed from the bag!
We finished the evening off by sharing sweets and having a turn at a lucky dip (full of fabric) what could be better!
Wishes of happy Christmas before making our way home.
I thought it was a wonderful evening and can’t thank the committee enough and anyone else who organised it.
