Threads Through Creation - by Joyce

"Threads through Creation” is an exhibition at Southwark Cathedral by Jacqui Parkinson depicting the creation story through twelve huge panels, a vibrant combination of silks, hand-dyed materials, metallic leathers, gold leaf, with eight million stitches! Beautiful and colourful work.

The work involved in making them is incredible, she must have a huge workshop somewhere.

The exhibition is touring twenty cathedrals and is well worth going to see while it’s in London and so easy to get to being near London Bridge station.

Jane and I went on Saturday and had lunch in the Cathedral cafe.

Exhibition finishes 26th August 2024.
