Our members have been busy. Here are their many and various creations.
These include a number of quilts inspired by free block patterns issued by Moda and other fabric suppliers.
A Quilt for Huon - by Chrissie and Deirdre
When one of our members had a baby boy, there was only one thing we could do. This quilt was stitched by two of our members, based on a Moda pinwheel baby quilt pater which includes a border of Prairie Points - perfect for inquisitive little fingers. Rainbow Hexagons - by Inez
I made this quilt at my patchwork class at the Kentwood centre in Penge. I like bright primary colours as I think you can see - no subtlety here! It was fun to see how many different patterns could be created by re-arranging the hexagons
Winter Wonderland - by Gill S
Moda Fabrics website publishes free weekly block patterns for quilters. Using some of the block patterns and some scrap pieces of Christmas fabric, I made a small lap quilt. The whole process was very enjoyable and useful, because I am still developing my skills and some of the designs challenged me
