New Year Challenges







Charm Pack Challenge - Using half square triangles, Kate will be giving information 

Initial Challenge - Using your initials as colours, adding cream or white as the background.  Make a small quilted piece in a disappearing patch design.  Patterns and demonstrations for this will take place at the February meeting

Block for Linus -  Rail Fence.  Each member will be given strips of fabrics to sew into blocks.  Blocks will be sewn into quilts at the May meeting

Raffle Quilt Block:  Wensleydale by Jen Kingwell

  Sew Together Bag
  Kate will lead the day teaching this popular bag, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Demonstrating different techniques.

Tombola Makes Evening

 An evening when members will be asked to bring along ideas for tombola makes for the Exhibition
Booking to commence for the Gilly Towell workshop
  Charity Quilt Sewing Evening


    An evening when Members will put together the Challenge Rail Fence blocks into quilts for Project Linus
Booking to commence for Saturday Sewing Day
to be followed by
"Quilters Question Time"
  Following the "Business of the Evening",
 A Panel of Quilters will answer questions, pre received and discuss various "favourite gadgets" and tips with the members

Saturday 27th July

 Saturday Sewing Day

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
  An opportunity of sitting and sewing together, completing items for the Exhibition and making use of large tables for layering up quilts.
15 members maximum

Raffle, Tombola, Sales Table and Little Shop of Fabrics will be trading

Christmas Make Evening

 Kate will demonstrate a Hexagon Christmas Decoration, all members will be able to make one during the meeting

    Let's Look at Log Cabin

An evening when various Log Cabin designs will be shown.  A move around evening with a member leading on each of four tables
